A term paper is usually a research paper written by undergraduate students on an academic term, typically accounting for about a third of a standard’s total mark. Merriam Webster explains it as”an article written at the end of a term of study, to be used in the class for the length of studies for that term”. Term papers are graded on a different scale than other essays, providing a lower score for each term than for the entire course. The pupil must compile first, formerly written, researched and quoted material into the newspaper.
There are some different styles for writing a paper, among which is commonly known as the”citation style”. In citation style, the author’s name, address, and the title of the school or department are first listed in the Table of Contents. Then the name, thesis statement, body of the job, and notes are all recorded in reverse order of the writers. Citations are written directly after the citation, with the citation style.
Two other common styles for term papers are described in the APA (American Psychological Association), MLA (Mathematics Literature), Chicago Manual of Style (Citation), Harvard Style (Handbook of Modern Language Arts), and New York Manual of Style (NYM). From the APA, direct quotations from sources are favored, and Chicago and MLA require just indirect quotation marks, included within parenthesis, except for a question mark indicating a quotation which can be thought of a paraphrase. Journal articles and government records have to be cited according to the particular citation styles specified in the various books. Citation in paper articles must adhere to the format described in the Article Citation Manual. Students are encouraged to read all of newspapers before submitting their term paper, to ascertain which format will be useful.
